How Thespians Earn Points

Thespians can earn points through their work in the school theater community. For example, they can participate as technical workers or actors in school productions of plays or musicals. Some points may even be earned by coming in and helping out during tech days! Keep an eye out on the call board for any upcoming opportunities!

Being Inducted

After Induction

Ten points are needed to become a member of ITS. At least one of those points must be a tech point.  This means you cannot get in with ten points for only acting.
Technicians need at least two different types of tech points to be inducted.

Actions deserving points toward induction include:
  • Major or minor roles in a school production
  • Technical work in a school production
  • Helping out on Tech Days
  • Tech classes
  • Other volunteering opportunities with Ms. Levine
Once inducted, you can still continue to earn points!  These count toward various awards.
See below to learn about the awards.

Actions deserving points include those listed to the left, as well as:
  • Seeing a community or professional theatre production
  • Attending and/or participating at ITS festival
  • Major or minor roles in a community or professional production
  • Technical work in a community or professional theatre production
